Tehran, Dec 17, IRNA -- The price index of consumer goods and
services in urban areas in the month of Mehr (September 22- October
21) rose by 0.5 and 12.9 percent compared to the previous month of
Shahrivar and Mehr last year, respectively.
The Economic Statistics Department at the Central Bank of Iran
(CBI) said on Sunday that the wholesale price index of goods in Mehr
dropped by 1.1 percent compared to the figure in Shahrivar this year
but rose by 12.3 percent compared to Mehr last year.
Based on the report, in Mehr this year the general index of
construction workers' wages in urban areas reached 145 points, up 2.3
and 11.6 percent compared to the figure in Shahrivar this year and
Mehr last year, respectively.
According to the CBI report, the indice of the number and value
of bonds traded reached 132.4 and 198.9 points respectively, down
by 4.7 and 3.3 percent compared to Shahrivar this year and up by 5.2
and 32.5 percent compared to Mehr last year.
In the month under study, the indice of the number and value of
the promissory notes and due drafts in Tehran dropped by 68.4 and 95.3
percent respectively.
Moreover, rls 523.8 billion worth of shares were traded in the
Tehran Stock Exchange in Mehr. The share trade index declined by 32
and 28.8 percent in terms of the number and value respectively
compared to the figure for the preceding month.
In Mehr, each Bahar-e-Azadi gold coin (old version) was traded at
rls 601,421 on the average, down by 0.7 and 1.9 percent compared to
the figures for Shahrivar this year and Mehr last year.
