The third internationl prize for peace and tolerance was presented to Salam. The world organization Unesco, offers this prize biannually to the selected candidate. It should be mentioned that the cash part of the prize amounts to $40000.

The second prize for peace and tolerance went to Gandhi Family.

Salam Newspaper by editorship of Mohamad Khoeiniha was banned for 5 years last July on the verdict of Special Court of Clergy.
