Madrid, Oct 24, IRNA -- Atousa Pour-Kashian, a young Iranian chess player, won the gold medal in the World Chess Competitions held in Spain. The competition included various categories for men and women.

The Iranian young adult chess player scored 9.5 points out of the possible 11 points. She competed in the under 12-year-old category.

Chess players from Russia and Ukraine won the silver and bronze medals in the same category, respectively.
