Arak, Markazi (central) Prov., June 16, IRNA -- To mark 2001 as Year
of `Dialogue among Civilizations' as well as welcome tourists from
around the world to the Islamic Republic of Iran, an international
flora exhibition will be held in Mahallat in September, announced the
provincial manager of Iran Touring and Tourism Department Mohammad
Hosseini said on Saturday.
The international fair will begin on September 1 and last for a
week. A number of domestic and international personalities will attend
the event, he said.
Agriculture ministers, ambassadors and charges d'affaires from
various countries, a number of high ranking officials as well as a
group of artists will participate in the fair, he said.
Concurrent with the inauguration of the festival, a flora and
plantation exposition will be launched in the Sarcheshme region of
Mahallat, he said.
Some tourist agencies will extend services to domestic and
foreign tourists who wish to attend the international fair.
