During a ceremony held on Tuesday and attended by the representative of UNICEF in Iran, Soulemane Diallo, and members of the fund's council for young adults, Daei received the license for his new position.
Diallo expressed his appreciation to Daei for undertaking the responsibility and hoped the international player would be a good representative for Iranian children and young adults in the world.
No doubt, Iran is full of great thinkers who have the capacity to do the obligation but Daei is now in every Iranian's heart and the nation call him a perfect man, added Diallo.
The UNICEF representative assured Daei that he and his colleagues would help him achieve exalted objectives in the future.
The Bundesliga-bound Daei also appreciated UNICEF for its confidence and said he would do his best to do the job.
The UNICEF introduced GMCJ to the world in 2000 and the movement started work in March.
