Kuala Lumpur, May 6, IRNA -- Tehran won the crown of the 11th Asian
Capitals' Disabled Sports Olympiad which ended here Sunday.
Collecting 34 golds, 10 silvers and 9 bronzes in track-and-field
for the blind, table tennis, weightlifting, goalball, sitting
volleyball and shooting, the team of Iranian capital ranked first and
bagged the glittering gold.
Composed of 40 athletes, Tehran snatched 45 golds but the
organizing committee did not list the medals of those fields that
attended by just one participant in its final table.
A Malaysian team with 21 golds, 27 silvers and 22 bronzes finished
runner-up and Singapore took the third title, winning 17 golds, 8
silvers and 5 bronzes.
Iran, India, Pakistan, Singapore, Myanmar, Cambodia and various
states of Malaysia competed in 15 sporting fields.
The closing ceremony of the Olympiad was held Sunday.
