Tehran, Nov 30, IRNA -- An informed judiciary source told IRNA Friday
that the hearing session of four student leaders of the Office to
Foster Unity (OFU), majority fraction, formerly scheduled for Saturday
Nov 30, has been postponed to an indefinite future date.
OFU's head of political bureau Saied Razavi-Faqih, as well as
OFU Central Committee members Akbar Atri, Mehdi Aminzadeh and Abdullah
Momeni were to attend Bench 26 of the Revolutionary Court on Saturday
morning to answer the judge's questions on accusations brought up
against them for accused violations during the recent student unrests
in Tehran.
The accusations include "insulting President Khatami",
"insulting the Islamic sanctities", and "acting against national
security" during student gatherings staged to voice objection
against death sentence issued against university Professor Seyed
Hashem Aghajari.
The four had been arrested last Tuesday, but freed 24 later.
The informed judiciary source who spoke on condition of anonymity told
IRNA that the reason for postponing the hearing session is seeking
more evidence on the student activists' political activities.
Razavi-Faqih who was interrogated for a whole day by the
Revolutionary Court on Monday, prior to his Tuesday arrest has said in
an interview with the Iranian Students New Agency (ISNA) that the
court's treatment, unlike those who arrested the students on behalf
of he court, was quite respectfully.
