A team from Sistan-Baluchestan province, southeastern Iran, snatched three gold medals in the 21st international taekwondo Open of Belgium on Saturday, IRNA reported.
On the second day of Belgian event, the provincial Regional Water Company's team grabbed three golds as Feizollah Nafjam, Abbas Sanaeian, and Youssef Karami stood first.
In 54 kg, Nafjam defeated two German opponents and then his Belgian and French rivals, winning the glittering gold.
Sanaeian added another gold to Iran's asset as he overcame the taekwondo players from Belgium, Germany, and Spain in the -72 kg category.
Karami, who won the gold medal of the Netherlands' Open last week snatched the third gold for Iran in the seventh weight.
He beat his opponents from the Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden respectively.
Reza Sargolzaei of has already won a bronze medal in the -62 kg class.
Headed by Siamak Shirzad, the Iranian team consists of Feizollah Nafjam, Reza Sargolzaei, Ehsan Qaem, Hassan Shokri, Abbas Sanaeian, Mohammad-Mehdi Namjou, Youssef Karami, and Morteza Rostami.
Accompanied by assistant coaches Mehdi Zaeri-Miri and Nourbakhsh Akbari, Mohammad-Amin Namjou is steering the team.
