Iran's volleyball team, runner-up of the 4th Asian juniors event, left Vishahkapatnam on Monday for New Delhi, IRNA reported from India.
The Iranian team arrives in the Indian capital on Monday evening and attends a gathering in Cultural House held by the Iranians living in India.
On Wednesday morning, the volleyball team departs New Delhi for Tehran.
Nine teams competed in the 4th Asian event held in Vishahkapatnam, east of southern Andhra Pradesh State.
India ranked first and the two teams of Iran and North Korea stood second and third respectively, qualifying for the World Juniors Volleyball Championships in Thailand.
INDIA KEEPS TROPHY AT HOME
India stole the show in the 4th Asian Juniors Volleyball Championships as it defeated Iran in the final in Vishahkapatnam on Sunday.
Supported by home fans in a packed Rajiv Gandhi Hall, the Indian side won the first, second, and fourth sets 25-23, 30-28, 25-20 respectively.
Iran won the third set 25-23.
Last year, Iran managed to beat India in Isfahan winning the crown of the 3rd Asian event.
Earlier on Sunday, North Korea grabbed the third title as it crushed the Chinese team 3-0.
Thailand, Australia, Qatar, Taiwan, and South Korea ranked fifth to ninth.
