Iran's varsity freestyle wrestling team wins Spanish Grand Prix title

Freestyle wrestling team of Iran's Islamic Azad University (IAU) stood top in the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday, IRNA reported from Madrid.

Except Alireza Navaei who bagged a bronze, all Iranian freestyle wrestlers snatched the gold medals.

In the team category, Iran won 70 points in seven weights while the runner-up Spain collected 50 points and the third-placed Venezuela bagged 39 points.

Iran finished third in Spain's Greco-Roman wrestling event held in igh Council of Sports Hall, Madrid.

The four-member team of Islamic Azad University took two gold and two bronze medals, winning 36 points.

Spain lifted the title with 55 points and Venezuela finished runner-up with 49 points.
