Attar Neishabouri's poems manifest themselves in plastic arts

On the death anniversary of the prominent Iranian poet, Attar Neishabouri, the concept of his poems was manifested in plastic arts in an exhibition dubbed "Attar from a different outlook," IRNA reported from Neishabour in Khorasan province.

The exhibition opened at Seemorgh (Phoenix) Culture House in the city of Neishabour, northeastern Iran, on Monday, where 130 artworks are showcased in a row manifesting a group of birds flying towards the mythological Phoenix.

The artist creating the displayed works told IRNA that he meant to view the concept of Attar's poetry in a new outlook.

He said that the mythology of Phoenix is the pivotal concept of Attar's poetry, which is represented in every one of his artworks.

"Attar, the architect of the seven worlds, guides the reader of his poems through various phases expected to end up towards the legendary Phoenix."

"He provides a charming environment through which the birds can reach their desired Phoenix. Thus the scenario of the Phoenix is depicted," he added.
