The tenth meeting of 'comprehensive
dialogue' between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the European Union
will be held in Athens on Tuesday under the current EU Presidency of
Greece, IRNA reported from Brussels.
The EU side will be led by Greek alternate Foreign Minister
Tassos Giannitsis and the Iranian side by Deputy Foreign Minister for
Europe and America, Ali Ahani.
According to an EU Presidency announcement, the one-day meeting
will deal with bilateral cooperation, global issues and regional
developments.
Bilateral cooperation includes issues such as trade and
investment, energy, drugs, immigration and refugees.
Global issues include terrorism and the terrorist MKO group,
disarmament and non-proliferation, human rights as well as 'dialogue
among civilizations'.
Regional developments include the situation in Iraq, Persian Gulf,
Middle East, Afghanistan, the Caucasus, Caspian Sea, Central Asia, EU
developments and the Balkans .
