A Member of the Church Council of the Isfahani Armenians, Garnic Baqdasarian, said in Isfahan on Friday that the Armenian sports champions will take part at Third International Olympics of the Armenians this year, IRNA reported.
The Third International Olympics of the Armenians will be held in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia between August 16 to 24.
Speaking to IRNA Baqdasarian added, "The Iranian Armenians will take part at football, table tennis, swimming, and various track and field events at this years' International Olympics of he Armenians' competitions."
He added, "The Isfahani Armenian women will be competing at track and field, swimming, and basketball competitions this year."
The Armenian Church Council official said that the 70 member sports team of the Isfahani Armenians will leave for Yerevan, Armenia on August 13th.
Iran's central and ancient city of Isfahan is home to 7,000 Armenians, who mainly live in this city's old Jolfa district, where their historical and famous Vank Church is located.
