The media center of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) representative office in Iran announced in Tehran on Sunday that an information bank on children and women issues aimed at compiling and distributing proper and correct information nationwide will soon be established, IRNA reported.
A report released by the media center said that once the information bank becomes fully operational in Iran, it will be accessible to the public on a website due to be launched next year.
'Children's and Young Adults' Information Network aimed at providing information references has been established in the media center of UNICEF Tehran office," it added.
According to the report, the site will play a crucial role in restoring the children's rights.
It added that establishment of the information bank will increase the access of the public to correct information on children and women and will enable them to study and discuss the issue.
"UNICEF information bank will strive to make the most reliable information available to governmental and non-governmental organizations, international development institutes, institutions of the civic society, the private sector and researchers, while eliminating parallel measures," it concluded.
