What Every Iranian women should know about breast health.

DID YOU KNOW?

Breast cancer is the second major cause of cancer deaths in the United States. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime, and 1 in 30 will die of the disease. Breast cancer deaths are highest among minority women. Breast health awareness and early screening can significantly lower cancer deaths. Breast cancer screening behaviors of Iranian women in US have NEVER been explored

DO YOU KNOW WHY?

Many women do not know about the risks of breast cancer and the benefits of early breast cancer screening. Educational programs do not reach minority women and their needs are not met.

HOW CAN IRANIAN WOMEN HELP?

You are invited to take part in a research study on breast cancer screening behaviors of Iranian woman between the ages of 30-80 years old by completing a simple survey. This research project is conducted by Mehra Shirazi for a doctorate degree in Public Health at Oregon State University.By showing interest and taking part in this study you can help advance the understanding of early breast cancer screening behaviors and increase breast cancer screening among Iranian women in United States.
