The National Olympic Committee in association with the National Olympic Academy is to play host to Arts, Sports, and Olympics Seminar, which will open in Tehran on December 7, IRNA reported.
Concurrent with Arts, Sports, and Olympics Tournament, the gathering will be inaugurated at the academy in the Enqelab Sports Complex, northwest of Tehran, in the presence of NOC head and secretary general, Mostafa Hashemi-Taba and Bahram Afsharzadeh, and a number of officials, artists, and sportsmen.
The seminar aims to promote arts and sports at national and regional levels.
Eighty graphical and sculptural artworks are contending in the second nationwide contest, out of which six -- three in each section -- are picked up as the national works.
The top work will represent Iran in the world contest in Lausanne, Switzerland.
The top three will receive 30,000, 20,000, and 10,000 dollars in the world event.
