An earthquake measuring 3.8 on the Richter
scale, hit Bandar Genaveh in Bushehr Province, south of Iran
at 21:02 hours local time (17:32 GMT) on Friday, causing panic among
local residents, IRNA reported.
The residents reportedly rushed out of home, setting up tents
outside their residence to be immune of likely aftershocks.
There were no reports of damage or casualties.
Meanwhile, a 3.9-Richter tremor shook Kazeroon in Fars province
at 11:05 hours local time (07:35 GMT).
Iran is located in a zone frequently subjected to seismic tremors,
and has been the scene of several major earthquakes.
