Tehran, Feb 2, IRNA -- More than 422,000 cars have been produced in Iran in the first 10 months of the year (started March 21), registering an increase of 38 percent compared to the same period the previous year.
Director General of the machine building department at Ministry of Industries and Mines Ahmad Nematbakhsh told reporters here on Sunday that 364,197 cars had been produced in the first 10 months of last year.
Nematbakhsh said that production of variety of tractors and combines rose by eight percent to 10,870 units in the period under study.
The official said that export of auto parts in the said period earned the country dlrs 153 million, showing a 32 percent growth.
