Moscow, Feb 13, IRNA -- Russian Deputy Minister of Atomic Energy Andrei Malishov is to arrive in Tehran on Sunday to discuss ways of broadening bilateral ties.
The spokesman to the Russian Ministry of Atomic Energy Nikolai Shingarov told IRNA on Thursday that during his three-day visit to Iran, Malishov will hold talks with Iranian officials on mutual issues.
"The Russian deputy minister will inspect Bushehr Nuclear Energy Power Plant to get a close look at the progress of the project, the process of its construction and its equipment," added the spokesman.
He added that Malishov is also to deliver some of the required parts and equipment while inspecting Bushehr nuclear power station.
The Russian Atomic Energy Minister Alexander Rumyantsev, heading a 20-member delegation, visited Iran in January.
During his visit, the Russian minister inspected Bushehr Nuclear Energy Power Plant and held talks with Iranian senior officials on ways of expanding bilateral relations.
The Russian minister also discussed Iranian plans to build six more nuclear reactors to produce nuclear power.
On his return to Moscow, Rumyantsev declared the need for sustained mutual cooperation between Iran and Russia in the peaceful use of nuclear energy.
