The newspaper headline reads: Iranian cyclist's peace tour stopped cold in Ariz.
This is a very moving story which should be read. Please click on the attached link: http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/0113reza13.html
AIA has been in contact with Iranian bicyclist Reza Khoshvravesh Baluchi's local pro bono attorney in Arizona and we are trying to get Reza out of jail. Reza traveled through six continents on a world tour for peace, but now he rests in an INS jail.
Long time AIA member, Ally Bolour, Esq. has agreed to represent Reza on a pro bono basis, so we have taken care of his legal representation.
1) We need to raise money to post his bond, so he would be released. The estimate is $5000 to $7000. Please kindly go to www.allianceia.org and click on WE NEED YOUR HELP: SPECIAL REGISTRATION DEFENSE FUND, and the instructions are there. Contributions can also be wired to:
Wells Fargo Bank18356
For the benefit of:
AIA Account Number: 292-2772-492
2) We need sponsors for Reza, to give him a place to stay and a job if possible. Interested people should send their proposal to me ASAP, at email@example.com, or just go to www.allianceia.org and click on Mail@AllianceIA.org, and send your proposals, containing your complete name, address, and phone number. This should be done ASAP, so we can file proper papers with the Immigration Court to justify Reza's release and even lower the amount of the Bond.
I await your immediate response.
