Moscow, Jan 22, IRNA -- Iranian Industrialists, and traders held a one-day seminar in Yerevan on Wednesday.
The Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Farhad Koleini and over 50 Iranian traders and industrialist participated in the meeting which focused on ways of improving the market for Iranian products in Armenia.
The two nations also focused on the latest developments in relations between the two nations and discussed the factors that affect the private sector in Armenia.
Other issues including the necessity for investments, exchange of information, and expansion of trade and economic activities of the Iranian traders and industrialists in Armenia were also discussed at the seminar.
Iran and Armenia have embarked on closer trade ties in the recent months. Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi and Armenia's Presidential Office Head and Chairman of Iran-Armenia Economic Commission Artashes Tumanian inked an agreement on developmental affairs in December.
Iran's efforts to get involved in the development projects in Armenia would strengthen the all-out ties between the two states, contribute to defuse the tension due to the Karabakh crisis, Kharrazi noted.
Export Promotion Center of Iran and the Armenian Development Agency here on Wednesday also inked a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of trade, energy and education.
