A seven-member delegation comprising experts and professors from the Academy of Persian Language and Iranian Universities arrived here Wednesday to attend the conference.
The conference will be inaugurated in the presence of Indian Human Resource Development Minister Murli Manohar Joshi.
Iranian Deputy Minister of Science, Research and Technology for Cultural and Social Affairs Hadi Khaneki and member of the Majlis cultural committee Ms Fatima Rakie are scheduled to arrive here Friday for the same purpose.
More than 80 professors of Persian language from all over India and neighboring countries including Bangladesh will participate in this conference with the aim of establishing a council for development of Persian language in India.
Two educational workshops will also be held on the sidelines of the conference, which will be organized by the Iranian embassy and Culture House.
