Seismological bases in the neighboring Yazd province registered a tremor at 14:40 (1010 GMT), with its epicenter placed 15 km south of Kuhban.
One person was killed after two relatively strong earthquakes successively hit Zarrin-Dasht near the southern city of Shiraz in Fars province last Thursday.
Its governor, Seyed Mohammad Moussavi, on Thursday said the number of those injured rose to 147 from 20.
The quakes damaged 22 education units. 15 schools were totally destroyed, he said.
Relief aid is being distributed among the affected, Moussavi said. At present, there is only urgent need for ice and coolers, given high temperatures in the quake-stricken regions, he added.
He also cited several cases of infectious diseases, including diarrhea, but said they were under control.
The quakes severely damaged power and telephone lines, disrupted water supply and destroyed a police outpost.
Iran sits on some of the world's active seismic faultlines and tremors of mild magnitude are almost a daily occurrence.
Since 1991, at least 17,000 Iranians have been killed and more than 53,000 others injured in earthquakes.
