Head of Iran Bastan Museum Achaemenid
research projects, Shahrokh Razmjou, declared in Tehran on Monday that the
Achaemenid palaces known as Persepolis is to be reconstructed on
computer, IRNA reported.
He told IRNA that cultural heritage experts will reconstruct
various parts of Persepolis on computer based on archeological
records.
Razmjou added that the reconstruction will not be imaginary and
will be based solely on collection of documentary information.
The official said, "The research was categorized by the palaces,
while accurate information and documents have already been collected
for the computerized reconstruction of Persepolis and the palaces of
Achaemenid dynasty will be reconstructed optionally.
"In some instances, in the computerized reconstruction process,
further information on the project might be needed to make the
reconstructed images look exactly like the original," he added.
He said that the reconstructed images look quite natural and
reiterated that they are not at all similar to painting.
Razmjou said that the reconstruction of Achaemenid palaces is
mainly aimed at contributing to archeological researches.
