In men's competitions in the Austrian city Lizen, Graz, the senior taekwondo players of Iran bagged two golds and one bronze.
In the third weight, Mehdi Bibak snatched the glittering gold medal and his teammate majid Aflaki added another gold as he stood top in the fourth weight.
Mehdi Youssefi finished third in the second weight, bringing a bronze for Iran.
In the youth class, Sajjad Khosh-Sirat, Davoud Abdolrezaei, Mehdi Narouei, and Mohammad Mehraban grabbed four golds in the first four weights respectively.
IRANIAN WOMEN BAG THREE MEDALS
Women martial art players of Iran also took three medals in Austria.
In the first weight, Nazila Nazemi of Iran snatched the coveted gold and her teammates Reyhaneh Zeinolabedini and Mahrouz Saei took a silver and a bronze in the fourth and fifth weights respectively.
Four female players are representing Iran in the two-day Austrian event started in Lizen on Saturday.
Seventeen teams comprising 420 players have participated in the meet.
The three teams of Iran consist of 36 taekwondo players.
Iranians take two bronzes in Turkish taekwondo tourney
Two Iranian taekwondo players won two bronze medals here on Saturday as they finished third in the third `Ismat Yiraz' international event, IRNA reported from Ankara.
On the second day of tournament, Mehdi Ma'soumi and Noureddin Faeqi defeated their French rivals in the seventh and first weights respectively, bagging two bronze medals.
In women's competitions, Khadijeh Naqian and Raheleh Aqazadeh were knocked out of the event as they lost to their Spanish and Italian opponents respectively.
The Turkish players starred and swooped most of the gold and silver medals.
All-star taekwondo team of East Azerbaijan province are representing Iran in the Ankara-based meet.
According to Roqieh Moqaddampour, public relations manager of East Azarbaijan Women's Sports Office, the three-day taekwondo tournament started in Ankara on May 30.
The women's team of Iran comprises Khadijeh Naqian, Hanieh, Moradpour, Raheleh Mousavian, and Raheleh Aqazadeh.
Leila Javidan is heading the team and Niloufar Bahari is the coach.
Noureddin Faeqi, Akbar Qahremani, Farhad Narimani, Nasser Aziz Qara-Maleki, Babak Naderi, Majid Alilou, Mehdi Ma'soumi, and Mehdi Navaei represent the country in the first to eight weights of men's event.
Mohammad-Reza Pour-Asl and Reza Faraji are the head and coach respectively.
Nineteen teams have participated in the tournament.
