Cardinal McCaric introducing members of the delegation, said that inter-state religious communication is of great significance and value.
Stressing that Abrahamic religions belong to one family, he said that dialogue among men of pen contributes to strengthening human principles and promoting global peace.
On the status of religious minorities in Iran, he noted, "The Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Mohammad Khatami have always backed the religious minorities community in Iran."
Kharrazi said that inter-religious relations promotes friendship between the nations.
"The Constitution of the Islamic Republic respects rights of religious minorities, and the Iranian community upholds their rights," he added.
Kharrazi reiterated the significance of dialogue among religions and said that further interaction of religions to one another will make the nations overcome their differences.
On the US policy toward Iran, he said that there is no hostility between the two nations of Iran and US and added that the US unfair approach toward Iran disregarding mutual respect is the reason for the current gap.
