Expressing concerns over the effect of domestic disputes in the forthcoming Majlis elections, he said the people should not be dismayed from participating in the election because of these disputes.
Speaking before a session of the provincial administrative council, he said that people's participation in elections is indicative of their love for the Islamic Republic system.
He also condemned the acts of contempt and dafamation of government officials and institutions, and underscored the need to take measures for the people's welfare.
Highlighting the unresolved unemployment problem, he stressed the need to create job opportunities for the country's youth and, in this regard, called for greater support for the private sector so as to enable it to make use of its full potential and efforts to attract more foreign investment into the country.
Before delivering his speech, the EC chairman was briefed by the provincial Governor General Mahmoud Hosseini on the problems now faced by the province.
Meanwhile, in an address to the ulema and clerics of this central province on Sunday afternoon, Rafsanjani blasted the US' occupation of neighboring Iraq in the name of democracy.
Pointing to Washington's accusations of Iranian interference in the domestic affairs of Iraq, he stressed that the Islamic Republic has never interfered in Iraq's domestic affairs and maintained a neutral stance during the war.
