Tehran, May 13, IRNA -- The Iranian journalist and cinema critic,
Sina Motallebi, was released from jail after posting 300 million rials
of bail on Monday, his wife told IRNA.
Police detained him last month reportedly in connection with the
interviews he had made with foreign media. The journalist is now
awaiting trial.
According to an informed source, Motallebi has accepted some of
the charges, while rejecting others during interrogations in
detention.
His wife, Farnaz Qazizadeh, refused to give details about the
circumstances of the case since "the file is at the initial phase of
probe".
Iranian courts have shut down scores of newspapers and charged
several journalists for publishing materials which have been deemed
false and intriguing to the public opinion.
