Iran-Italy trade balance was 44 million euros in Iran's favor in the first seven months of the current year, IRNA reported from Rome.
The volume of trade between Iran and Italy rose by 110 million euros to more than 2.156 billion euros in the January-July period compared to the same period last year, said Italy's Statistics Center in a report.
Based on the report, Iran exported 1.099 billion euros worth of goods to Italy in exchange for 1.056 billion euros worth of imports over the said period.
The exports and imports showed increases of 30 million euros and 80 million euros in the period respectively compared to those in the corresponding period in the previous year.
Crude oil and natural gas constituted major part of Iran's exports to Italy, while industrial equipment and machinery comprised the main import commodities from the European country in the said period.
