Iran's 85 kg weightlifter, Seyed Hadi Panzovan, ranked second in Group B of the 73rd world edition in Vancouver, southwest of Canada, Wednesday, IRNA reported.
Raising 365 kg totally, the Iranian finished runner-up to his Albanian rival, Iler Kafarani, due to his 400-gram body weight excess.
Panzovan hoisted 167.5 kg in snatch to occupy the second place as Gardov from Bulgaria stood top due to his lower body weight -- 300 grams -- and Kafarani finished third with 165 kg.
In clean and jerk, the Albanian ranked first by lifting 200 kg followed by Saudi Arabia's Ramzi who kept 200 kg above his head and the third-placed Panzovan with 197.5 kg.
Kafarani was announced the group leader with 365 kg for his lower body weight, Panzovan finished second with 365 kg, and Ramzi third with 360 kg.

Defending champion Guozheng Zhang of China won the 69 kg title as he raised a total of 245 kg to outdo Russian junior Vladislav Lukanin, who won the clean-and-jerk title but finished five kilos behind in total.
The Chinese, who stood fourth at 2000 Sydney Olympic Games won the snatch competition by finally making his starting weight 152.5 kg on his third and final attempt.
Lukanin, 19, grabbed the overall silver over South Korean Bae-Young Lee due to his lower body weight.
Body weight was also a factor in claiming the clean-and-jerk gold from Zhang as both lifted 192.5 kg.
They surpassed the previous record of 187.5 kg for the clean and jerk and the new 335 kg total record was set by Rudik Petrosyan of the United States.
Zhang won the snatch gold over Pole Arkadisz Smolka, the 2000 Olympic champion, who lifted the same weight but had a heavier body weight.
The world event will qualify 187 lifters for 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens.
