Iran celebrated world pankration title in
Denmark Monday, IRNA reported.
Although the Iranian martial art players missed the chances for
snatching some gold medals due to their refusal to meet the Israelis,
they did steal the show with three golds and five silvers.
In individual competitions, Ali-Mohammad Amrji, Mehdi Forouzesh,
and Majid Salari bagged the coveted golds and Nima Lotfi,
Mohammad-Reza Ahangarian, and Seyed Ghaffar Hashemi took silver
medals.
The four-member team of Iran comprising, Esmaeil Karimi, Siavash
Motiei, Mehdi Forouzesh, and Majid Salari won two silvers.
