EU-Iran human rights dialogue continues

The third round of human rights dialogue between the European Union (EU) and the Islamic Republic of Iran will be held in Brussels Wednesday and Thursday, IRNA reported.

A 23-member Iranian delegation including, MPs, Judiciary and Foreign Ministry officials, NGOs and academics are taking part in the 2-day meeting.

The EU delegation is led by the current Italian Presidency. The first round of the EU-Iran human rights dialogue was held in Tehran last December and the second round in Brussels in March.

The main goal of the human rights dialogue is part of an overall effort to improve and develop closer ties and cooperation between the European bloc and the Islamic Republic.
