Canadian and British parliamentary delegations on Tuesday visited the headquarters of Iran's Islamic Human Rights Commission in Tehran separately, IRNA reported.
The Canadian parliamentary delegation who is preparing a report on ties between Canada and the Islamic world, exchanged views with legal experts of the commission on sensitivities of the Islamic world.
Islam's image has been harmed among Western citizens after the events of September 11, 2001, the Canadian delegation said and urged Muslims and Islamic experts to offer a suitable image of Islam to the world.
The delegation discussed violation of human rights in Iran and Canada with Iranian legal experts.
In its meeting with members of the commission, the British delegation also discussed questions raised by Britain's civil society on human rights in Iran.
The delegation gave an explanation on the performance of occupation forces in Iraq.
