The German University of Goettingen on Friday marked the centennial anniversary of its Iran studies programme, by holding a two-day symposium (October 24-25) on Iranian culture and history, the university press release said, IRNA reported from Berlin.
The conference, entitled 'Culture Land Iran: The Iranian Tradition as World Culture', will feature international experts and scientists who will to discuss multi-faceted aspects of Iran's cultural diversity.
Topics of discussions will center on a broad spectrum of Iran's culture like its archaelogy, history, languages,literature and arts. A highlight of the symposium will be recitations of Persian poetry, showcasing Persian miniatures and Iranian films as well as performing traditional Persian music.
Located in the northeast German city of Goettingen, University of Goettingen is regarded as one of the country's premier higher educational institutions.
