Secretary General of the Islamic Iran Participation Front (IIPF) Mohammad Reza Khatami said on Wednesday there is no way to prosperity but to continue the reformation drive, IRNA reported from Tehran.
Speaking in the first session of the IIPF youth branch, he said the reformation drive has reached to the point of no-return and added that the process would continue for sure.
Meanwhile, the IIPF leader was critical of the slow pace of reform the country saying all the legal, social and political institutions have not followed up the reformation drive. Though the social structure has undergone drastically visible change, the government structure has almost remained the same, he asserted.
The second Khordad (may 23) movement has brought with it many positive social changes as well as changes in the legal and executive structures, he said adding that the reform process has proved quite successful in these areas.
Something similar to "an earthquake" has shaken every part of the Iranian society and no one can remain indifferent vis-a-vis the changes that have taken place.
He touched on the changes occurred over the past three decades in the urban, economic and cultural areas.
A drive to seek more freedom which has replaced absolutism is to a large extent visible in today`s Iran society. He said the Iranian society is now undergoing a very sensitive period.
