Head of Iran's Youth Organization Rahim Ebadi said in Qom on Tuesday that number of students at Iranian higher education institutes has grown by 17 percent compared to to the figure last year, IRNA reporeted.

Ebadi told a ceremony, marking start of new school and academic year, that there are 1,700,000 university students and 16.5 million pupils in Iran, showing a considerable growth compared to past years.
