Iran`s basketball team Wednesday
eased into the quarterfinals of the 22nd Asian Nations Cup underway
in Harbin, China, IRNA reported.
Iran advanced to the last eight as it defeated the Syrian side
82-67.
On Tuesday, Iran at last defeated Taiwan in its opening match.
During a nail-biting clash, Iran that had lost all matches against
the Taiwanese managed to win 84-73.
Iran fielded regulars Iman Zandi, Samad Nik-Khah, Mehdi Kamrani,
Jaber Rouzbehani, and Pour-Tajik and substitutes like Behzad Afradi
against Taiwan.
