Cultural and Arts School and the Iranian Federated Women's Club (IFWC)
announce that Dr. Badi Badiozamani, an Iranian-American candidate for Governor
of California, and Former California Assemblywoman Elaine Kontominas Alquist, a
candidate for the California State Senate, will be attending the Seventh Annual
Iranian Cultural and Arts Festival at the Cupertino Quinlan Community
Center on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2003. This event will be a
great opportunity for people of the Bay Area to meet Dr. Badi Badiozamani
and Ms. Elaine Kontominas Alquist and become familiar with their respective
positions on various issues.
This free admission, public festival
and fundraiser event will be from 11 AM to 6 PM and is held annually to
celebrate and promote Iranian culture. The festival provides a great
opportunity for Payvand and IFWC to familiarize the community, Iranian and
non-Iranian alike, with Iran's elegant, diverse and exotic culture and heritage.
The event will consist of various community activities, including dance, music,
poetry, arts and crafts, book signings, art gallery, and face painting, and will
be accompanied by delicious authentic Persian cuisine.
In addition, there
will be a reunion and gathering for alumni of many of your alma maters at this
event. Please inform your friends from Hadaf, Albourz, Kharzmi, Marjan,
Anooshiravan Dadgar, and .... High schools, and also Meli, Tehran, Ariamehr,
and... Universities to join us for the Reunion at the Seventh annual Iranian
Cultural and Arts Festival at 11:00am at the food
court.

11:00 am - 6:00 pm Meet our community's phenomenal artists from
and view their talent at the Art Gallery.
The festival will assist
artists in anyway possible to see the successful sale of their fine art. Tables,
display areas, and assistance in creating a display will be provided. All
gallery proceeds will go to support our Educational Arts Foundation.
Kabbabi of Palo Alto will be serving tasty Persian food, and
SADAF will be distributing free samples of Persian tea and rice.
