The International Seminar on 'Caspian Sea and
Future Cooperation' opened in Baku on Tuesday morning, IRNA reported.
The ecological conditions and natural reserves of the land-locked
sea are to be studied by the participants in the seminar.
The four-day seminar will also discuss cooperation among regional
countries.
Some 103 journalists as well as political and economic experts
from different countries, including the Commonwealth of Independent
States (CIS) and the Caspian Sea littoral states, are taking part in
the seminar.
The participants in the seminar will also have a round-table
discussion with political officials and scholars of the Republic of
Azerbaijan on Caspian Sea's scientific and environmental issues
on the sidelines of the seminar.
