Shiraz, Fars Prov, April 10, IRNA -- An earthquake measuring 3.2
degrees on the open-ended Richter scale jolted the city of Kazeroun,
in the southern province of Fars, early Saturday.
The seismological base of Tehran University's Geophysics Institute
said the tremor occurred at 02:52 hours local time (22.22 GMT on
Friday).
There were no reports of any casualties or damage to property
caused by the quake.
Iran is situated on some of the world's most active seismic
faultlines and quakes of varying magnitudes are of usual occurrence.
