Tehran, April 11, IRNA -- Iran's Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi said here on Sunday that the only solution to the ongoing Iraqi crisis is change in the US' approach, avoiding use of force and pullout from Iraq.
Kharrazi told his Japanese counterpart Yoriko Kawaguchi on phone on Sunday that ongoing crisis in Iraq is the result of Pentagon's "wrong" policies.
He said Pentagon follows a wrong approach, supposing that the delicate issues, which should be solved through logic and wisdom, would be settled through force.
He added that the Islamic Republic of Iran has launched extensive efforts and has been in contact with all Iraqi political and religious leaders to subside the crisis.
Kawaguchi, hailing Iran's "positive" role in averting ongoing crisis in Iraq, said the Islamic Republic of Iran is required to continue with its efforts in that concern.
