Ilam, April 21, IRNA-- Iran will provide electrical energy for some parts of Iraq including north of the country as of late June, an Iraqi radio quoted an official with Patriotic Union for Iraqi Kurdistan On Tuesday night.
Radio Azad of Iraq (Iraq's Freedom Radio) without giving his title, quoted Fereidoon Abdul Qadeer Tuesday night as saying that the power supply for Iraq was agreed on in talks held this week between Iranian and Iraqi local officials in Tehran.
He has reportedly said that an agreement was reached on linking certain regions of Iraq including cities of Kalar, Dyareh, Darbandikhan and Garmian with Iran's power grid.
There have already been other reports about connecting eastern and western Iraqi provinces to Iran`s power network.
