"Talks are underway with Germany to list Iranian companies in European stock markets," Hossein Abdeh-Tabrizi said.
The TSE will then be able to trade in the international market, said the official, noting that it would not be limited to foreign companies' investment.
"It is more important for us to have the shares of Iranian companies offered at international bourses," he said, adding that shares of state companies would be highly marketable at international bourses provided the necessary requirements are met.
He also stressed that the capital market of the country is fast progressing.
The official further noted that the participation of foreign investors in the domestic stock market coupled with an increase in indirect investments and establishment of regional bourses can help boost production and employment opportunities.
Abdeh-Tabrizi called on brokerage firms to help people nationwide invest their savings in the stock market.
