"The figure is expected to hit 870 million dollars in the current Iranian year (started March 20)," Manteqi said in remarks at a meeting with the visiting head of the Leader's Special Inspection Office, Ali Akbar Nateq Nouri.
He said that Iran Khodro will continue its cooperation with international automakers to remove the shortcomings in its automobile production business.
"Iran Khodro is currently one of the pillars in the gas-fueled automobile manufacturing industry," he said, adding that the industrial group is capable of producing world quality cars.
Manteqi stressed that Iran Khodro is not against car importations, but that it should be done through appropriate channels.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he urged support for the domestic car manufacturing industry.
Nateq Nouri on Tuesday visited different production sectors of the Iran Khodro Industrial Group.
