Ayatollah Khamenei said he appreciated Shahroudi's efforts in his first term as the Judiciary chief, and called on him to try harder to help materialize a judicial apparatus ideal to the Islamic establishment.
The Supreme Leader said Iran still needs planned and comprehensive struggles to achieve that goal, and expressed hope that Shahroudi will be able to promote justice, lawfulness, wisdom, reforms, promptness, righteousness and honesty in the performance of the Judiciary.
Ayatollah Khamenei further advised Shahroudi to try to strengthen Iran's judicial structure, draw up plans to boost its efficiency, train expert workforce, fight corruption and cooperate with other branches of the government, stressing that these should be the priorities of the Judiciary.
The Supreme Leader in conclusion stressed that Shahroudi's talents, as a knowledgeable, experienced and intelligent figure of the Islamic Revolution, guaranteed the implementation of the above priorities.
