Tehran, Aug 30, IRNA -- Italy's Serie A-bound AS Roma defeated visitor
Iran in a football friendly on Sunday night.
The host struck five to see off the Iranian side 5-3.
Under Croat manager Branko Ivankovic, Iran is prepping for the
second-leg World Cup qualifier against Jordan in Amman on September
8.
Against the run of play, Jordan beat Iran 1-0 in the first leg in
Azadi Stadium, west of Tehran.
Eyeing a place in 2006 World Cup finals in Germany, Ivankovic at
last summoned Khodadad Azizi for the deciding qualifying match.
Bayern Munich's new signing Vahid Hashemian, who had already
rejected various invitations by the Croat trainer and Football
Federation officials has accepted to play for his national side
against Jordan.
