Ahvaz, Khuzestan Prov, Dec 19, IRNA -- Five skeletons dating
approximately 250 years before the birth of Christ were discovered
somewhere in the vicinity of Shoushtar in Iran's southwestern province of Khuzestan,
it was announced in Ahvaz on Sunday.
Abdolaziz Fazeli, an archaeology professor at Azad University in
Shoushtar, told IRNA that the skeletons were unearthed recently by 30
students of the university.
He said that eight earthenware and 32 coins were also discovered
by students in the same region.
Shushtar, with a population of over 270,000, is located 82
kilometers north of Ahvaz.
