Iranian judokas return from Moscow

Tehran, Dec 20, IRNA -- Iran's varsity judo team Monday returned from Moscow where the 17th world student event was held. The four-member team finished seventh as it snatched one silver and one bronze in men's competitions.

Mohsen Zakaria stood second in -60 kg category and Abbas Fallah ranked third in -100 kg class.

Arash Mir-Esmaeili and Mohsen Qomi were knocked out of the tournament.

Japan stole the show with five golds and one silver in men's and women's events, celebrating the title.

France finished runner-up with an asset of three gold, two silver, and three bronze medals and the third title went to Russia, which took two golds, one silver, and three bronzes.

Forty-one countries pitted 250 judokas in the world meet.
