Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution
Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said on Wednesday that conflict between
the executive and supervisory boards of the election is not something
new and every conflict has a solution, IRNA reported from Tehran.
"There is no knot that cannot be untied and every conflict has
a solution. During its blessed life, the Islamic Revolution has
succeeded in breaking the deadlocks. Today too, thanks God, there is
no deadlock in front of the Islamic Republic and the Iranian nation,"
he said.
"One is not authorized to shun its duty, because of his objection
to a method or an event. Refraining from fulfilling a task in the
form of resignation is Haram (religiously forbidden)," he said.
The Supreme Leader said that the majority of members of parliament
are faithful to the Islamic Revolution and keen on serving the
people adding that the parliament is the pillar of the Islamic
Republic.
Of course, certain individuals may have infiltrated into
parliament and they are showing the facts upside down, he said.
"In the Islamic Republic, we are servants of people and take
our prestige from the service to the people.
"People are not indebted to the officials of the Islamic
Republic. Rather it is the officials that have a debt of gratitude to
people. This spirit has been the key to the survival of the Islamic
Republic over the past 25 years in the face of conspiracies of the
enemies," he said.
The Supreme Leader said that Majlis shoulders heavy responsibility
which are the religious, ethical and national obligation for the
members of parliament.
"After the end of the imposed war, great works have been done in
the country and the bright prospects are gradually emerging. But, the
enemy is conspiring to stop the progress," he said.
Elsewhere in his speech, the Supreme Leader offered felicitations
to the Iranian nation on the occasion of Ten-Day Dawn and Ghadir Khom
feast (February 10).
Ghadir Khom is a place in Saudi Arabia where Prophet Mohammad
(Peace Be Upon Him) introduced Imam Ali (AS) as his successor in his
last Hajj pilgrimage.
The Supreme Leader recalled the decades of foreign dominance over
Iran - the British and US plundering of Iran - and said that the
Islamic Revolution brought awareness to the Iranians and they toppled
dictatorship and took over their own destiny in 1979.
On the Islamic resurrection worldwide, the Supreme Leader said
that the young generation in the Muslim countries celebrate the
anniversary of victory of the Islamic Revolution every year because
they regard it as a model for their own national resurrection.
