Berlin, Jan 8, IRNA -- German scientists are looking to help Iran build earthquake-resistant buildings with clay bricks, the Stern magazine reported Thursday.
"It is even possible to build safe houses with clay bricks," Stern cited Gernot Minke, a professor of architecture, as saying.
Together with Society for Technical Cooperation, Minke is hoping to send construction experts to Iran in order to "school the people" in building safe houses, a DPA report added.
A devastating quake killed at least 30,000 people when it struck the southeastern Iranian city of Bam on December 26, flattening most buildings.
